Weekend Tip!:

Green doesn't always mean GO!

Green means go - but only if it's safe to do so.

Always check the intersection is clear before moving off.

Even when the traffic light turns green, always check that the junction is clear before moving off.

              - A rushing pedestrian,

              - red-light runner, or

              - blocked intersection can still catch you off guard.

A quick check could prevent an accident.

              Stay alert—especially at busy crossings!

Mid week tip -

Progress over perfection!

Learning to drive isn't about getting everything right & perfect straight away - it's about trying, trying again and getting better & more confident each time.

Your first lessons might include afew missed things, or wobbly drives - and that's OK. Mistakes are part of the process - (not that you are doing badly).

We believe steady progress over striving for perfection. Every time you learn, you feel more confident your evolving!

Take one drive at a time - you've got this!

This Weeks' Tip!

Smooth Steering = Better Control

MIrrors are a fundamental skill for safe driving. Doing correctly and consistency is also as important. Some key points for mirrors:

-Keep both hands on the wheel

              - Avoid sudden jerks or oversteering

              - Steer with calm smooth movements

Don't over grip the wheel - control starts with calm hands.

Keep your hands steady, your mind focussed, and don't grip the wheel too hard

Mid Week Tip!

Mirrors Matter

MIrrors are a fundamental skill for safe driving. Doing correctly and consistency is also as important. Some key points for mirrors:

              - Check before starting to move

              - Check before changing lanes

              - Check before slowing down

              - Check before braking

              - Check regularly

              - When parking.

Don't always rely just on mirrors - perform head checks every time, working in with mirror checks.

> Check in pairs - check rear-view and side mirror

Timing is important - don't check too early, or too late

Mirror, Signal, head check then move if all is safe to do so.

Make mirror checking a habit - Every time you brake, turn, change lanes & before starting to move - MIrror First!

SAFE DRIVING THIS EASTER HOLIDAY PERIOD

Stay safe and enjoy the Easter Holidays with these simple tips:

  • Plan ahead – Expect holiday traffic and give yourself extra time.
  • Don’t drink and drive – Celebrate responsibly; use a designated driver or rideshare.
  • Check your car – Inspect tyres, brakes, and fluids before your trip.
  • Avoid distractions – Keep your phone out of reach and focus on the road.
  • Prepare for weather – Heavy rain can reduce visibility.
  • Drive defensively – Be patient with others; everyone’s trying to enjoy the holiday.
  • Obey speed limits – Especially in suburbs - 50km/h limit.
  • Secure Easter goodies – Keep baskets, food, and decorations from rolling around.
  • Don’t drive tired – Fatigue slows reaction time and impairs judgment—take breaks or swap drivers.
